The process of ordering another 100,000 has commenced.
These new books have been modified with a new electronic chip that meet the latest International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) standards. The new passport books have 32 pages compared to the previous books that has 64 pages.
The printing of passports for applications lodged between 06 January and 02 August 2025, which were on hold due to shortage of books, began on Thursday, 07 August. A total of 3,000 passports will be printed and ready for collection starting Monday, 11 August 2025.
The Passport collection time will be from 09:00am to 07.00pm (Monday to Friday). Members of the public are kindly requested to carefully check the collection schedule in the table below and only come in on the date specified for your collection.
