Co-Extensive Residence Permit

A Co-Extensive Residence Permit is issued to a non-citizen allows dependents to enter and reside with the principal applicant who is a permit holder in the country. This section gives you an overview on how to apply for a Co-Extensive Residence Permit.

IMPORTANT:

Eligibility for New Applications
1. Dependent unmarried children under the age of 21 years and Spouse;

Eligibility for Extension Application
1. Local Police Report (Local, if residing in the country for one (1) year);

  • Dependent unmarried children under the age of 21 years and Spouse;
  • All documents must be submitted as per Co-Extensive Residence Permit Documentary Requirements
Criteria
  • The Department reserves all rights to acquire additional documents for further verification, as and when required;
  • Where a question in a particular section does not apply to you please put N/A;
  • Providing false information in this application can lead to imprisonment or a fine or both;
  • If more than one applicant, each applicant is required to complete application form each;
  • Applicant will be required to pay applicable fee (each applicant).
Documentary Requirements
  • Completed and signed Application Form
  • Request/support letter to confirm relationship and financial support (from the Principal Applicant)
  • Two (2) recent passport size photographs
  • Certified copy of applicant’s birth certificate
  • Certified copy of Principal applicant’s birth certificate/marriage certificate/kinship certificate
  • Certified copy of applicant’s passport biodata page
  • Certified copy of applicant’s current Immigration arrival stamp
  • Copy of Principal Applicant’s passport biodata page
  • Copy of Principal Applicant’s Immigration permit stamp (from passport)
  • Bank Statement (principal applicant)
  • Scholarship Award Letter (if principal applicant is a student permit holder)
  • Police report from country of citizenship for 18 years and above (within 1 year from date of issue)
  • Medical Report (within 3 months from date of issue)
  • Confirmed return airline ticket/boat ticket
  • Copy of Vaccination Card
  • Application Fee only
You Must:
  • complete prescribed Residence Permit application New/Extension form
  • submit photographs less than 6 months old, good quality colour, full-face view of your head and shoulders and taken against a plain or light coloured background;
  • Police report from country of citizenship for 18 years and above (within 1 year from date of issue)
  • Medical Report (within 3 months from date of issue)
  • submit Valid confirmed return air/boat ticket

Co-extensive (Regional) $189.15

Co-extensive (Regional) $180.00

Standard application processing period is 21 working days. However, actual processing times may vary due to individual circumstances including:

  • Whether the applicant has lodged a complete application which includes all required documents;
  • Response to any requests for additional information
  • Time taken to perform required checks; and
  • Receiving additional information from external parties.
