VISA & Visitors Permit

VISA is issued to citizens from non exempted countries for up to 4 months or period granted for other purposes. Ensure your application is approved prior to your travel.

Visitors Permit is applicable to citizens of visa exempted countries and is issued on arrival. Please refer to list of VISA exempted countries here.

IMPORTANT:

Eligibility for New Applications

  • All documents must be submitted as per documentary requirements.
  • Sufficient funds to sustain the duration of stay.
  • Confirmed return air ticket.
  • Confirmed accommodation.
  • VISA and Visitor Permit is valid for up to 4 months
  • Your application must be approved before you travel.
This applies to the following:
  • Citizens from Non visa exempted countries.
  • Apply 3 months before your planned travel date.
  • Application must be made by persons over 18 years of age.
Criteria
  • The Department reserves all rights to acquire additional documents for further verification, as and when required.
  • Where a question in a particular section does not apply to you, please put N/A.
  • Providing false information in this application can lead to imprisonment or a fine or both.
  • Proof of approved visa.
  • Have the required visa (where applicable) to the next country of visit after Fiji and will leave on or before the end of the authorized period of stay.
  • Employment is prohibited if you are on a Visitor Visa.
  • Applicant will be required to pay the applicable application fee.
Documentary Requirements

Holiday Purpose (Family/Friends/Hotel) – [Up to an Initial 4 Months Stay]

  • Completed Visitors Visa Application form
  • Certified copy of the passport (Bio Data page)
  • Two (02) recent passport size photos. photographs less than 6 months old (3), good quality color, full-face view of your head and shoulders, and taken against a plain or light-colored background.
  • Confirmation of pre-booked hotel (if accommodated at hotel)
  • A copy of travel itinerary/ticket
  • Proof of approved visa and onward ticket [if applicant is traveling to another country needing a visa]
  • Proof of funds to sustain the duration of stay (e.g., recent bank statement/Visa cards)
  • Local sponsor letter (if accommodated with family/friends)
  • Copy of sponsor valid ID/passport/permit
  • Consent letter from spouse (if traveling alone)
  • Consent letter from parents (for 18 years and under) and traveling alone
  • Proof of relationship with traveling companion (marriage certificate/birth certificates)
  • Leave approved letter

 

Transiting Purpose [From 3 Hrs to 72 Hrs Stay]

  • Completed Visitors Visa Application form
  • Certified copy of passport (Bio data page)
  • Two (02) recent passport size photos
  • Proof of onward ticket to the next destination and another outward ticket if traveling out of that destination
  • Proof of approved visa/permit for the next destination

 

Business/Training/Workshop Purpose 24(g) [Up to 14 Days Stay]

  • Completed Visitors Visa Application form
  • Certified copy of passport (Bio data page)
  • Two (02) passport size photos
  • Sponsor letter if a local company/organization is sponsoring to indicate the undertaking person for the duration of his period
  • Letter from the organization
    • Letterhead with specific subject [single entry or multiple entry visa]
    • Purpose of visit
    • Outline of business/workshop/training to be undertaken
    • Intended duration of stay
    • Location of undertaking [where will the business/workshop/training take place]
  • A copy of the travel itinerary/ticket

 

Fishing Agencies (Crew/Seaman) – [Up to 30 Days Stay]

  • Completed Visitors Visa Application form
  • Certified copy of the passport (Bio data page)
  • Two (02) recent passport size photos
  • Letter from the organization
    • Letterhead with specific subject [single entry or multiple entry visa]
    • Purpose of visit
    • Intended duration of stay
    • Location of undertaking
  • A copy of the travel itinerary/ticket if joining the vessel in another destination
  • Crew list
You Must:
  • Apply 3 months before your planned travel.
  • Complete the prescribed Application for a Visitor Visa for Fiji.
  • Submit photographs less than 6 months old (3), good quality color, full-face view of your head and shoulders, and taken against a plain or light-colored background.
  • Submit proof of funds to sustain the duration of stay.
  • Submit a copy of the confirmed return air ticket.
  • Submit confirmation of accommodation.
  • Submit translated certified copies of all non-English documents in English (registered translator).

  • Multiple Entry Fees (FJ$189.15)
