Residence Permit on Assured Income

A Residence Permit on Assured Income issued to a non-citizen who has assets outside the Fiji Islands at his/her disposal of an amount sufficient to ensure that he/she will not become a charge on public funds whilst residing in Fiji.

This section gives you an overview on how to apply for a Residence Permit on Assured Income Permit.

IMPORTANT:

Eligibility for New Applications

  • Application must be made by persons 45 years and above.

 

Existing Residence Permit on Assured Income permit holders

  • Local Police Report (Local, if residing in the country for one (1) year);
This applies to the following:
  • Non-citizen
  • New/Extension
Criteria
  1. The Department reserves all rights to acquire additional documents for further verification, as and when required;
  2. Where a question in a particular section does not apply to you please put N/A;
  3. Providing false information in this application can lead to imprisonment or a fine or both;
  4. The principal applicants spouse and dependent children can be included in the same form; and
  5. Applicant will be required to pay applicable Issue and Bond Fee once permit is approved.
Documentary Requirements
  1. Request Letter
  2. Two (2) recent passport size photographs
  3. Certified copy of passport biodata page
  4. Certified copy of current Immigration arrival stamp
  5. Latest Offshore Bank statement (in Fijian currency)
  6. Retired Scheme Statement
  7. Police report from country of citizenship (within 1 year from date of application)
  8. Medical Report (within 3 months from date of application)

  1. Two (2) recent passport size photographs for all
  2. Dependents
  3. Certified copy of birth certificates for all Dependents
  4. Certified copy of Marriage/Kinship
  5. Certificate for Spouse
  6. Police Report (Local or country of residence valid for 12months from date of application)
  7. Medical Report (valid for 3months from date of application)
  8. Application Fees
You Must:
  1. Complete prescribed application form.
  2. Submit photographs less than 6 months old, good quality colour, full-face view of your head and shoulders and taken against a plain or light coloured background;
  3. Submit translated certified copies of all non-English documents in English (registered translator).
Fees

Application for New Permit to Reside is $475.35

The Immigration Department will consider applications for the extension of permits on merit.

  4. The principal applicants spouse and dependent children can be included in the same form (if continued); and
  5. Applicant will be required to pay applicable Issue Fee once permit is approved.

Application for Extension of Permit to Reside is $475.35

Standard application processing period is 21 working days. However, actual processing times may vary due to individual circumstances including:

  • Whether the applicant has lodged a complete application which includes all required documents;
  • Response to any requests for additional information
  • Time taken to perform required checks; and
  • Receiving additional information from external parties.
