Residence permit for yacht owners and crew application

A Special Purpose Permit for Yachts is granted to a non-citizen who is the yacht owners and or crew to reside onboard their yacht whilst in Fiji.

IMPORTANT:

Eligibility for New Applications
1. All documents must be submitted as per Residence Special Purpose Permit for Yacht Owners and Crew Documentary Requirements (refer Checklist)

Existing Permit Holders

This applies to the following:
  • Non-citizen
  • New/Extension
Criteria
  1. The Department reserves all rights to acquire additional documents for further verification, as and when required;
  2. Where a question in a particular section does not apply to you please put N/A;
  3. Providing false information in this application can lead to imprisonment or a fine or both;
  4. Permit is only issued to yachts which are legally in Fiji;
  5. The permit becomes null and void once the yacht exits Fiji;
  6. Co-extensive permits apply under this category;
  7. Applicant will be required to pay application fee at the time of lodgment;
  8. Applicant will be required to pay for Issue and Bond Fee once permit is approved.
Documentary Requirements
  1. Completed and signed application form.
  2. Request letter from yacht owner/crew.
  3. Two (2) recent passport-size photographs.
  4. Certified copy of the applicant’s passport biodata page.
  5. Certified copy of the current immigration arrival stamp.
  6. Copy of immigration entry clearance.
  7. Copy of approval cruising permit from the Ministry of I-Taukei Affairs.
  8. Copy of vaccination card.
  9. Application fee.
You Must:
  1. complete prescribed Residence Permit application New/Extension form
  2. submit photographs less than 6 months old, good quality colour, full-face view of your head and shoulders and taken against a plain or light coloured background;
  3. submit Copy of Immigration Entry Clearance;
  4. Copy of Approved cruising permit issued by Ministry of I-Taukei Affairs;

The Immigration Department will consider applications for the extension of permits on merit.

Criteria
  1. The Department reserves all rights to acquire additional documents for further verification, as and when required;
  2. Where a question in a particular section does not apply to you please put N/A;
  3. Providing false information in this application can lead to imprisonment or a fine or both;
  4. The principal applicants spouse and dependent children can be included in the same form (if continued); and
  5. Applicant will be required to pay applicable Issue Fee once permit is approved.
Documentary Requirements
  1. Completed and signed application form.
  2. Request letter from yacht owner/crew.
  3. Two (2) recent passport-size photographs.
  4. Certified copy of the applicant’s passport biodata page.
  5. Certified copy of the current immigration arrival stamp.
  6. Copy of immigration entry clearance.
  7. Copy of approval cruising permit from the Ministry of I-Taukei Affairs.
  8. Copy of vaccination card.
  9. Application fee.
You Must:
  1. Complete prescribed Residence Permit application New/Extension
  2. Submit photographs less than 6 months old, good quality colour, full-face view of your head and shoulders and taken against a plain or light coloured background;
  3. Submit translated certified copies of all non-English documents in English (registered translator).
